Hart of Dixie : Oh It's Coming Baby, Just You Wait..

   All right, I'll admit, the lack of Wade and Zoe content got to me, it was hard ya know and I just gave up, man.. But here I am ! I made it, slowly fast-forwarded my way through all of it, one episode at a time and today, I saw this. 'Wanna know what this is ? This is a precious little thing called reward.

   So, since Wade and Zoe broke up, it's been hard. Season 3 picked up like a year later and Zoe's got a new boyfriend, Joel. She still had a few scenes with Wade, and at some point he used to actually tell her that she was still in love with him. To her face. Multiple times. But then he became friends with Joel, and later started dating Zoe's cousin. So that was the end of that.

   Now, it so happens that I like Joel. He's your classic all around decent guy and I actually think he's perfect for Zoe. You can't deny that they really work, they're very similar but she's more impulsive where he's calm and likes to actually think before he acts or speaks. And I'll just say it, they're actually kind of cute together.

   But anyway, in the last episode, Wade's dad showed up at Zoe's birthday party, positively drunk, to meet his son's new girlfriend.

   It's always been obvious that Earl was a fervent supporter of Zoe and Wade together, and he only just found out about the tragedy that left millions devastated a few hours before, when he ran into Zoe. He thought they were still together, had been together for about 2 years now and were buying a house.

   And it was hard for him to accept. It was hard for all of us.. So he gives Zoe a piece of his mind. If you were still his girlfriend. *slow clap* Spoken like a true believer. With everything he's already done for -Zade I guess it's called, kind of sounds like a cheesy cool but not cool guy's name.. But anyway! With everything this man has done for our cause (because nobody ships George and Zoe anymore #willyoujustgiveupalreadythishasgoneonlongenoughgoddammit -getting side tracked again, I have the attention span of a 3-months-old golden retriever) he deserves a goddamn award, it's so freaking adorable that he's so bummed about it. Favorite character.

   So Wade comes to take care of it and his dad is all like "well come on let's do this" and they're all like "yeaaaaah maybe naaaaat..?."

   And then he gets sulky and grumpy all 'I don't care! I don't even wanna meet the bitch I hate her already!"

   And then BAM. Voice of God. Or the audience, whatever..

   He says it all, that they shouldn't have broken up, that they were perfect for each other and they could have had ruled the world together and have sassy little babies and.. all right I'll stop, he didn't say it in so many words but let's be honest here, he agrees.

   This reminds me of why I love Hart of Dixie, it's cheesy and expected but it's all good. It's the kind of expected where if I was there I'd be like 'Mmmh well, this is interesting *wink* what an interesting turn of events !"

   And thanks to the delicious awkwardness that floats all around them, at some point they desperately look at each other like 'I need eye contact with a person that feels what I'm going through right now!

   And at some point, it gets sad for me. They did make a horrible mistake by letting each other go (Earl's exact words btw) and I know they're gonna get back together but their breakup was still really sad and painful on both sides, it's just a really sad thing to think about. Yeah, I get a little emotional with this show I think maybe it's 'cause it's such a happy show so when they're sad it's like, really sad, I don't know anyway it was a sad moment for me okay !

Also, they're totally touching hands. Yeah it's a little blurry don't be a baby about it !

   So he says thanks in a super meaningful way with super meaningful eyes and that's the end of that !

   I want them together. I know they'll get back together eventually. I want it fast but I don't really. I want this to be well done and to come naturally. I actually feel bad for Joel, I don't care about Vivian but Joel.. Plus, he's friends with Wade, ugh man it's gonna be so awkward. And sad, of course yes, sad. But Wade and Zoe -fine, Zade is on its way back, if we take this as the writer's way of telling us so, and I do believe we do !

   Anyway, that's it.. I have nothing else. Until march.. I'll never understand why they need to make their breaks so long, it's like they feel if it's only 2 weeks, we'll mind or they gotta make it worth it or something, like 'okay fine we're taking a break but then we're taking a real long ass break ! Also, I watched Star-Crossed, have a few thoughts about that. Revolution next week, words cannot describe what I feel. And Teen Wolf is awesome even though I'm too lazy to write about it ! And now that's really it, have an awesome day !

Hart of Dixie : Self-Destructive Wade, You've Done It Again ...

Damn you Self-Destructive Wade ! You suck. I love you and I feel for you but seriously, you need to stop doing stuff like that, it's not healthy !

So in the last episode Wade lost some contest he entered to win money for his bar, he got drunk and left the bar with a woman that wasn't Zoe. But we didn't really know anything, just that he had exited the bar with her ! They might have said good bye when they got outside, there was hope !

So after Zoe hears that Wade wasn't alone when he left, she confronts him. Yeah he was taking a shower at her place, weird ...

He tells her the girl just needed a jump for her car, he was just helping her out and yeah maybe she wanted his body, who wouldn't right ? But nothing happened. Pheeew, collective sigh of relief. Even though he was making weird faces, it's a good story. Believable. And he sold it pretty well, so for a second there I actually had hope that maybe, just maybe, it was all gonna be okay. 

Zoe agreed with me. She was all happy and relieved, splaying her hand across her man's chest. Zoe and Wade sittin' in a tree...

And then BOOM! She leaves and he stares after her. Bad sign.

Then Georges confronts Wade about the girl he saw him leave with. Wade explains, and Georges is like Zoe and me : satisfied and blissfully ignorant. Well my ignorance wasn't exactly blissful since I'm not in the show and therefore not a gullible bitch. Anyway George tells Wade he really is a changed man.

Weird face dude. It's like Adam from the Secret Circle all over again.

 And then BAM! Frome then on it's just an endless series of guilty looks.

And the guilt eats at him, at some point it's unbearable to watch like when he says he wants to tell Zoe something and ends up telling her she's amazing and he's lucky to have her. Poor baby. I know he's the jerk but I feel his guilt and resulting pain seeping out of my screen and into me.

He knows she's the best thing that's ever happened to him and that he just did the thing that would hurt her most. And it's killing him.

Then the most emotionally charged scene of the entire episode. In my opinion, of course. Zoe has agreed to be Wonda's maid of honor, which means she has to take care of Wonda's mom and make sure she comes to the wedding. Which she refuses to attend. The reason she doesn't want to come to her daughter's wedding is because her husband cheated on her years ago and she can't stand to watch her little girl open herself up to that pain. Sure, a bit emotional but not that heart-breaking right ? Right ?

WROOONG ! She tells Zoe the story of how she found out her husband was cheating on her : one night he didn't come home, didn't even call, came up with some lame excuse. Then he was acting "weird, distant" but at the same time "too sweet, too accommodating". The reason this scene is so heartbreaking is simply that you see a heart break, the subtlety of Zoe's understanding is what makes it so strong. It's not a big discovery scene where the chick starts screaming, crying or even breaking things. No she just hears another woman's story, another woman's heartbreak and she knows. In the blink of an eye she's not happily unaware anymore, no more blissful ignorance, the thought gets into her head and she recognizes it for what it is. The pain of knowing this is the truth, not Wade's lie, Tanzie's kindness but this, the fact that she was betrayed and she's just now starting to believe it.

I love Wade, I do but screw him, I love her more. Solidarity, sister !

Anyway after the most awkward of ceremonies, they calmly saunter to a bench to discuss Wade's foul treachery. Yes, just a calm little walk to an excruciatingly quiet breakup scene.

He's tense, he knows she's hurt and he can barely stand to talk without any big burst of emotions, his voice is strained, he tries to explain what the hell went through his head. Basically he's in hell. And she is heartbroken. And he knows it. Hell he probably feels it.

Anyway she talks, quiet as ever, she's sorry she pushed him to be someone he's not, but still what he did is unforgivable. So that's it, 16 episodes after they had sex and only 6 after they officially got together. Well at least, now they'll go back to bickering... Probably. Eventually.

This last picture is just because I really love Lavon, even if I don't talk about him because he's always with people I don't care about like Lemon, or Lemon's bestfriend, or George who just happens to be Lemon's ex. Actually, anything Lemon-related, I fast-forward. But I really do love him and he's a good friend.

So it's over, Zoe and Wade is no more. Please let it come back soon !!

Hart of Dixie : Jealous And Self-Destructive Wade

Hart of Dixie is a nice show about friendship and acceptance, but let's face it the real reason it's so awesome is Wilson Bethel. And the effect he has on our good Dr Hart !

Well this has been a lazy summer ! I'd started talking about the two of them but I didn't really get to the parts I love most ! Where it's all about subtlety.

So in a an episode of season 1, Zoe meets a cute guy at the Hammer Jammer ! His name is Jesse, he's funny, nice, easy-going and perfect ! But he's Wade's brother. Zoe discovers this somewhat important piece of trivia when going to stupid George's stupid bachelor party weekend or whatever !

We quickly learn that Wade and Jesse have a LOT of unresolved issues. They just don't get along there's the whole jealousy between brothers thing which is magnified by the fact that their dad is the "town drunk".

Anyway, things get heated between the bros and of course when the conversation drifts back to Zoe, Wade lashes out and says a whole bunch of awful things about her and, oh surprise, she's standing a few feet away from them looking like a lost puppy.

You got to give it to her, girl can look hurt.

And oh this shot ! It only lasts for a second but it's worth a 2h documentary ! I mean that look, come on ! Lost puppy ... Guilty lost puppy ! Awwww.

But that moment was mostly awkward, they just look at each other and look like the want to be anywhere else in the world ! But later comes the confrontation.

Zoe is really just a sweet ball of sweetness .. She's angry and hurt and it's just so damn cute ! And she's giving him a chance to take it back and apologize but this episode is in the distancing era. So Wade is just too happy to get an opportunity to prove he doesn't like her, to make her feel better.

What I love about Zoe is that after that conversation she "breaks up" with Jesse, they only met like a few hours before but still ! Wade's being an ass and she can date his brother if she wants to but no, it's not right so she puts an end to it.

And she's looking past Jesse, right at Wade. Awwwwww ! She's actually a really fragile girl, easily hurt and Wade was really a gigantic ass on that one.

 My god these characters are awesome, I cannot wait for the season 2 premiere ! October can't get here fast enough !

Hart of Dixie : Zoe And Wade For The Win !

A few days ago was officially the beginning of summer so I've decided to start catching up on all the shows I haven't talked about, starting with the first season of the new cw hit show, Hart of Dixie.
Hart of Dixie is about a young doctor, who inherits her biological father's practice in Bluebell, AL. And of course there's a stupid love triangle where stupid Georges Tucker and magnificent Wade Kinsella fight to win Dr Zoe Hart's favors. The Zoe/Georges thing is placid and boring, it is really and objectively useless. But The Zoe/Wade thing, on the other hand ...

It started out as nothing, just a make out session with the guy she considered to be an "electricity stealing buffoon from next door". Yes, 'cause they're also neighbors. This couple turns me into a girly, sensitive, romantic freak.  

For a while it's just kissing and innuendos and a little more kissing, there's absolutely nothing serious about it and they're not exactly friends at that time but you can feel it coming.

Until the friendship hits it's just a classic cliché good girl/bad boy thing, teasing and yelling and laughing and a whole bunch of "Awww" moments. Good times ...

That's the nice thing about this possible future relationship, it's electric, there's something there, it's a cliché but it works. Wade challenges her, he pushes her and whether she'll admit it or not, she loves it. 

But after a few episodes of meaningless fun you start to learn a little more about the characters, we got to see this heroic side of Wade with his dad and now with Zoe when she's freaking out about a ghost. He thinks she's completely crazy but he sees she's freaking out so he stays with her. Awww !

And of course the sexual tension stays there a little bit longer before feelings ensue.

There's this almost thing during a heat wave, but it starts raining just as they're about to kiss each other and for Zoe that means no free pass.

Zoe has always been very reasonable, she doesn't give into her impulses, not when she's not ready to deal with the consequences. Wade rattled her cage, in that episode she almost slept with him knowing she did not want to face the consequences. Almost. Sigh.

Then things get a little depressing because Wade realizes he likes Zoe and it probably won't lead anywhere. And that's the beginning of a new era in the Zoe/Wade relationship, the hurt-puppy-looks era.

 Zoe starts to move on from Georges except in doing so, she starts to be interested in other guys. Other guys meaning not Wade. Although there are still some sparks it's not the same as in the very beginning of the season.

And then Wade starts acting all "I don't care about her". And that's the beginning of yet another era. The one where they start to pull away from each other. That era is full of fighting and resentment but the end is the achievement of all the developing they've both done throughout the season. Fireworks.

Anyway we have a few other eras left to talk about and an entire summer to do it !
