Teen Wolf : Love Is a Battlefield

Well, people, Teen Wolf's return is "just" a couple of months away, and I just realized I hadn't finished talking about season 2 ! I'm picking up at episode 10. At this point, we know the creepy dude who almost drowned was the one who controlled the kanima, but Grandpa Argent killed him. Oh, and he's buddies with the kanima.

So, the episode started out kinda gloomy, with a whole 5 minute recap of how crappy things are. Stiles is talking about drowning, to the shrink who's friends with the veterinarian. Anyway she tells him that when you're drowning you should hold on 'til the very last second, quotes Churchill... It's not really interesting, just a way to tell us Stiles' dad got his job back and Scott's mom won't talk to him, now that she found out he's a werewolf. 

 And cue, the actual episode.

Grandpa Argent stops by Scott's house to threaten him into helping him find Derek. Except every other member of the pack is apparently in hiding, so good luck Scotty... 

But then Isaac just pops up at the veterinarian's office. I loved this scene, it was adorable.

So, before Isaac came along, Scott and the doc were examining and petting a super cute little dog. But apparently he smells like cancer, and he's going to die. But the wise doc tells Isaac he has the ability to help.

Isaac takes some of the dog's pain away. And then he starts crying ! Oooh poor baby... Isaac is one of the few characters I genuinely like, which consist of Derek and Stiles, basically. But he can be kind of ridiculous, mostly because he thinks he's so tough and cool, but honestly, it's cute. 

Anyway, Scott is all "Don't worry, I cried too" and I'm sorry, he's just trying to be nice, but it's ridiculous, he's ridiculous, he's the puppy, it's cute, sure, but mostly it's just funny.

Happy faces

After all this emotion, they get down to business. Isaac came to tell Scott the others were leaving tonight during the game, and ask for his advice. Which he didn't give because he's stupid and he has "no idea what he's doing." His words. Those two have become best friends in under 2 episodes, and like almost every other boy-boy friendships on the show, it looks alarmingly similar to a boy-girl relationship. Awwww. Also Isaac also informs Scott that what's his face will be playing in the game that very night.

Okay, so the context is set, now bring on the action.

I'm sorry this shot is useless, but please, look at the other people around Stiles' dad. He just yelled "My son is on the field" after realizing... well that Stiles was in fact on the field. I love those people's faces. The black dude and the one with glasses just look annoyed like "come on man, stop that shit", the lady next to Glasses is seeing God, and the blond on the left is checking out Mister Stilinski's ass. Nice work, people.

Okay, now bring on the action, for real. Grandpa Argent is the cause of all the commotion, as is tradition. He threatens Scott, nice technique by the way, though a little repetitive... If Scott doesn't get him Derek before the last 30 seconds of the game, Jackson will kill someone at the game. 

But of course, one of my favorite characters is always there to save the day. So at this point, it's not even half time, Stiles and Jackson are on the field, Scott isn't allowed to play but Isaac is, and Grandpa Argent is nearby, waiting and staring.

Too little mention of Derek in this post. That's not right. But then again he wasn't anywhere close to the action in this episode. No, he got a surprise visit from the big bad from season 1, which turned into a day-long conversation, with a little fighting.

One day, I'll know your name.

In the entire episode, Derek basically just stood there and looked pissed. Then they fought a little, while talking. Derek is having a lot of problems. First he has the kanima to deal with, then the 2 thirds of the Argent family that want to kill him, and 2 of his pack members just dumped him. He's having doubts about his abilities as an alpha. Tragic, I know.

Back to the game-related action ! Isaac got on the field, and knocked out enough players of his own team for Scott to be allowed to play, but in the process he was attacked by Jackson, so he's about to be completely paralyzed and Grandpa Argent wants to cut him in two. But luckily, his newfound relationship with Scott means that he won't be left behind. Awwwwwwwwwww, he came back to protect his friend. Soooo cheesy, but that's why we love them.  

When all that was happening, the game was still going on. And at some point, by some act of the lord, Stiles turned into the Michael Jordan of Lacrosse. He scores once, then again, offering the victory to his team. The clock ticks, the umpire blows his whistle and the game is over. They won, everybody's cheering, yay, happy faces everywhere !

Aaaaaaand then the lights go out. One by one, until the field is completely dark.

And in the end, the person that got hurt was actually Jackson. Big twist, I gotta say, nice. Everyone rushes to him. Verdict : No breathing, no pulse, a lot of blood, and he did it to himself.

But there's another problem. Stiles is missing, his dad wanders calling out for him, but he's not there and actually, I don't even remember what happened to him. Did Grandpa Argent kidnap him ? Yeah, that was probably it, since he created the whole diversion in the first place. More on that in the final post about the second season.

Wow, I talked about almost everything that happened in this episode. Except, of course, for Alison's I'm-the-baddest-psychotic-bitch-in-town new personality, but who wants to hear about that ? In the end the conversation between Derek and the Big Bad ended on the conclusion that, the only way to solve the kanima problem is to save Jackson, "through his heart", in other words, through Lydia. That's more than enough for an interesting finale.

Teen Wolf : The Fury Thing

With everything that's been going on I didn't catch up on Teen Wolf ! Well here it comes.

So Scott, Stiles and Stiles' dad were brainstorming about the mysterious killer and how to prove it's that guy that almost drowned. And they got to the conclusion that they needed to see the evidence at the station. So they go and the ex-sheriff manages to get them in. That's where it all goes to crap.

 

 So they watched the hospital's security footage and noticed that the creepy dude was at the hospital and that he talked to Scott's mom. So they call her and ask her to come in and tell the police what she saw. But creepy dude arrives.

So they're just waiting for Scott's mom while Jackson kills every police officer he sees. See that's the kind of thing I'm gonna miss this year ...

Anyway when all that was happening, Derek was waking up ! And good surprise, he's still the Alpha ! Yay ! The black veterinarian guy who's always there and always knows everything about everything tells him to not trust the big bad from season 1 and to go to Scott.

So he does. Because he's just so damn perfect. And oh the relief for Scott and Stiles.

But it was too good to be true. Or at least too easy. So Derek's paralyzed by the kamina's venom. Crap right ?

And then for some reason Jackson paralyzes Stiles too. So let's recap : Derek and Stiles are out of it, creepy dude is getting pissed, Jackson's just his usual quiet, submissive self, and Scott's mom should arrive any minute : Crap.

When she does arrive, creepy dude shoots Scott in front of her. So she's all "oh my god no let me look at him" but really it's just a bullet, Scott's fine but she doesn't know that. That's kind of a hard night for Scott and it's only gonna get worse.

See, even after they deleted all the evidence that could have led back to creepy dude, he still doesn't want to go because that's not exactly what he came there for. Yeah, his major problem right now is that he's becoming a kanima.

I love the two of them together.

Meanwhile, at the house of doom, The Argents are planning on going to the station to kill Derek.

So they get there, shoot around a little, throw a couple grenade things while Grandpa Argent is being poetic, quoting Shakespeare. I gotta say I kind of liked that "Well, let's give 'em some love" thing.

When Scott's running around trying to find something or someone, who the hell knows, he comes across Grandpa Argent who basically just tells him to go and leave the creepy dude and Jackson to them. In doing so, he's abundantly clear about the little secret deal they have. And Derek hears it all. Awwww poor baby ...

That episode was great, I mean there was action, blood, revelations, conflict, unresolved issues here and there, but it was missing one thing : the big bad. I like that guy, he's fun ! And he only got one scene in that episode and he didn't say a word he just witnessed Grandpa Argent fraternizing with the enemy.

Ha ! There ! I knew it ! I said it before and I was right, there was always something weird between Grandpa Argent and the kamina and there it is ! The creepy hand touching !

I didn't talk about Alison and her sudden I-want-Derek-dead mood, or that Creepy dude was into her, or that she had a weird moment with Scott where she threatened him with a crossbow, or that she's a waste of space because I simply don't care about her ! Same way I don't care about Scott, except worse.
Because I care about Scott as long as he has something to do with Derek whereas Alison just doesn't exist for me. There's still 2 episodes I haven't talked about ! Coming soon ...

Teen Wolf : Finally Some Action !

I've been longing for action for a while now and none of my summer shows could provide that, except for Teen Wolf. Yes it can be a little sketchy and there's always a lot going on at the same time but at least there's something going on !

Plus, I don't care if it's sketchy I love this show ! So, in last week's episode everybody was looking for Jackson. Again. But it's always fun so I don't mind. Since Scott joined Derek's pack there's only 2 rival groups : the wolves and the hunters. (I'm on Derek's side)

I love that they're together now ! I love Derek and I .. don't really care about Scott, but I love the way Derek feels protective of him.

This newfound friendship (yes that's what we're calling it) also includes Erica and Isaac. I used to find Isaac ridiculous and uninteresting but I'm really starting to like this bad-guy-but-in-a-fun-way thing.

It was sweet that Scott cared about Isaac's safety, a little premature but sweet.

Before we get back to the action -and the actual plot, I want to talk about Stiles. I really do want to give him his own post but well, I didn't. Yet. 

Anyway, Stiles had a very sad moment in that episode, in a scene with his dad, the sheriff. Throughout the show we've gotten to see that they're pretty close, their relationship isn't based on a power struggle like most parent-teen relationships. They're more like friends. But Daddy lost his job because of all the stuff (illegal stuff) his son's been doing.

Stiles is probably the nicest kid on the planet and he's also always looking to please others. He feels for people more than any other character in the show, so getting his dad fired and not even being yelled at for it, seeing his father that desperate really got to him. 

That's it there wasn't really any point to this but I don't talk about Stiles enough ! Luckily he had a moment of joy when the magic dust worked. But of course, that happiness was short-lived.

After securing the building and the kanima they got to the interrogation part. Jackson was so creepy as a possessed tortured creature. So I don't really remember what they did, but they wanted to talk to Jackson's master by luring him out, but he ended up fooling them by coming and talk to them. Through Jackson.

Basically the thing only kills murderers, turns out all the people that were killed were at the same high school, the same year, so it's safe to say they all knew each other. And they killed someone. Now I'm not entirely sure I got the next part right, but I don't see what else it could be so here 'comes : the person controlling Jackson is dead and he's having his revenge through Jackson. But that story has got so many holes I'm not really sure that's it. I think there's more to it. Isn't there always ?

Now the most adorable moment since the beginning of this show, yes, it involves Derek.

At some point, for some reason, Scott decided to go outside to, I don't know, get some fresh air ?? Anyway, Alison's psychotic sharpener freak of a mother decided to kill him because she saw him kissing his daughter. Passionately. But Scott's got a pack now ! So he called out to Derek who came to his rescue in an instant. Awww.

He even looked after him. I love Derek, I still don't know why. I can't put my finger on it but there's something about him that makes him the greatest character.

Also he bit the bitch. Ha ! Okay it's horrible for them, and I actually felt sorry for them, well for him mostly, she's a bitch, she can die I don't give a damn but it's sad for him..

I can't wait for the next episode ! Luckily I don't have to 'cause it's on in just a couple hours ! I want to know who's controlling Jackson, I want to know if it's Grandpa Argent, I want to know what the hell is wrong with Grandpa Argent ! Maybe he's actually dead, and controlling the kanima. That'd be interesting. But I'm guessing it won't be that, since I managed to think of it.
